The perfect family home to spend time together.
With 4 families and many little ones there was lots of rooms to play in and a huge kitchen dining area where we could all be living and eating on our own timetables. The properly is beautiful huge but cosy, we all felt very much at home there, the kids loved playing ping pong and having their own areas. The hosts were very attentive and helpful whenever we needed it and their advice for the local are was very much appreciated. Wonderful property with truly stunning views of the countryside. The host was lovely and super accommodating and even offered to make some dairy-free cupcakes for one of the guests, who couldn't eat the cake we provided. Lovely welcome hamper upon arrival, too. Lots of thoughtful, special touches and my Mum had a fantastic 60th.

Amazing House for 12 Hens on a Hen Party!
The entire property was incredible, everything we needed and more! The host was on hand and even dropped round a couple of things we’d forgotten! There was a big basket of Welsh goodies which was a fantastic bonus. We went for a hen party with 12 girls and every single person loved the house. We walked to a pub and the scenery surrounding the property is stunning. Already thinking of when we can go back!

An Excellent Weekend in a Beautiful Home
I rented this property for my wife’s 60th birthday. We had a full complement of 10 adults and 4 teenagers. The owner met us on arrival to ensure that we were happy with everything and to explain anything we wanted. The property was beautiful, well maintained and had everything we could possibly need. The views were spectacular and overall, the photographs do not do it justice! All the beds were very comfortable, there was enough room to cater for all 14 of us and hot water and bathrooms was never an issue. I would recommend this property to anyone wanting a luxurious escape with their family or friends. Thank you Lynn for such an excellent weekend

Fantastic house & location for a gathering
This property was stunning inside & out. The location was rural, quiet and a true escape from everyday life. We had our acitivities planned but would have had lots of suggestions from property host too. So the host is absolutely fantastic from start to finish, Lynn went above and beyond from the moment i booked. She was fantastic letting us hire x 2 hot tubs from a local company at the property and even helped set them up, to leaving a lovely welcome basket when we arrived for our stay. She came to explain the first day in detail everything about the house, what the area has to offer and answer any questions we had. We celebrated my best friends hen do, and it was everything we needed and more.There is room and access for a large minibus (or several vehicles) on a private safe driveway / carpark. Im just sad we couldnt stay for longer or have more time to relax in the different rooms on offer!

Absolutely amazing stay!
We had such a lovely stay! There was a group of 14 of us and I was concerned about how we would all fit and how much space we would have - safe to say there was nothing to worry about, the house was even larger than I had expected (photos do not do it justice). There was no fuss getting into the property - Lynn came and said hi when we arrived and showed us where everything was and how things worked. All our guests commented on how comfy the beds were. We also had our dog with us and she had so much space to roam and loved playing about in the garden. Everyone loved it!

Beautiful home with panoramic views of the Vale of Clwyd. The house itself is very comfortable with an amazing kitchen, which is absolutely the heart of the home. Lots of space for larger groups and lovely walks and nearby pubs!

We stayed for four nights at Lynn’s beautiful home. The house was ideal for our party of 10 and had absolutely everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The location has the good combination of being quiet & peaceful, yet there are good restaurants (The White Horse for example) close by.
Massive thank you to Lynn herself who went the extra mile to make sure we had a travel cot for our youngest child and even a dryer for laundry. Our stay was everything we hoped it would be and more.

This is the house we chose to one to with our friends after our wedding day. The house itself was beautiful with a special mention for the kitchen which was the heart of the house and the perfect spot to hang out, cook, drink and relax, even for 11 of us! The rooms were great and the gardens were lovely.

Our 12 strong group of family and friends don't have anything but good things to say about this place. We wanted a house in the countryside with great views that wasn't too close to any neighbours as we are a bit loud after a few whiskeys and didn't want to upset anyone. We spent most of our time in the massive kitchen or sitting by the log burner outside. House was clean, the kitchen well stocked and everything worked. Would recommend this place to anyone I know and there's a good chance we will try to come back one day.

As others have said, Great Alder House is a fantastic place to stay. The house is lovely (as well as huge), and is located in superb countryside; nestled beneath the Clwydian mountain range, which is designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The nearest town is Ruthin which is a very attractive town with all the amenities you might need.

Lovely, quiet, picturesque location! The house is absolutely stunning, we were gobsmacked walking in to see how Grand and big it was! The house was spotlessly clean and well equipped facilities wise. The bathrooms are spectacular and each bedroom is beautifully decorated with unique character for each. The kitchen is the showstopper, perfect for gatherings and it's where we spent all of our night. The house is very spacious and you won't feel on top of each other, the grounds are that big we didn't have time to see everything! The host checked in with me before, during and after our stay to check that there wasn't anything we needed, I felt she was very welcoming and attentive. Thank you so much, the best place I have ever stayed in! We will be back.

Beautiful house, amazing views. There is plenty of space for a large family holiday. We all had a fantastic time, and we ranged in age from 20 to 83. Nothing was too much trouble. Anything we needed was sorted straight away, perfect hosts. Every detail has been thought of. There is plenty of seating both inside and out. We would definitely book again.

Our family stayed at this incredible property over Christmas and it was honestly the best stay we ever had. Great Alder house is stunning and had everything we needed both for adults, children and babies. Lynn went above and beyond to make everything extra special for us. 90th Birthday
We stayed at Wern Fawr for a couple of nights to celebrate my Mum's 90th birthday. This elegant country house is enormous and was just perfect for accomodating our family and our dog. We spent a lot of time in the beautiful kitchen/dining area which offered a large but homely space for a party. In the two nights that we were there we couldn't do justice to all that the house has to offer but it is a beautiful house with loads of room for all sorts of group get togethers. The location is stunning and there is a lot of outdoor space. Lynn, the host was amazing, not just with the booking and the warm welcome she gave us but she took time to understand our requirements and took a lot of the worry of organising a large party away from me. Lynn arranged for a local cake maker to supply a delicious, showstopper of a birthday cake which was delivered to the house.
Nothing, it was perfect. It is worth noting that the grounds are not enclosed so we did have to be very vigilant with our 3 year old labradoodle who would take any opportunity to make a dash for it - but we were prepared for that and Lynn helpfully provided a gate/guard that we could use to prevent him from wandering upstairs etc.
